SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The PEX compress fittings is a series of CHROME plated compression brass fittings for multilayer pipe with removable body. These types of fittings are used in various areas,but they are mainly used for the construction of drinking water distribution systems,sanitary system and heating systems.

It is produced in accordance with regulations of the D. M.n°174 of the 6 April 2004 on materials and objects that can be used in installations for distribution of water intended for human consumption and respect all the following legislation for ensure a quality and reliability product.

MATERIAL

＞All the forged brass fittings are produced in accordance with the regulations of the legislation UNI EN 12165 with brassCW617N-CuZn40Pb2

THREADING

＞The IFAN BRASS threaded fittings are produced in accordance with the regulations ISO 228 cylindrical gas threading

GALVANIC TRATMENTS

To satisfy the regulations of the D.M.n°174of the 6 April 2004 and allow the use of fittings in installation for water distribution for human consumption,all the nickel plated and chrome plated articles satisfy the requirements of the legislation UNI ISO 92 27 for the corrosion and the legislationUNI ISO 28 19 for the adherence.

SYSTEM INFORMATION

The seal between the multilayer pipe and the fitting is guaranteed by the presence of a double O-ring EPDM PEROX (accordance to UNI EN 681-1:2006)housed on the adapter body.

The joining of the occurs by radial compression provided by the engagement of the nut that results in the compression of the split around the pipe and the other axial compression on the O-Ring of the insert. Finally,the fitting is also equipped with Teflon ring that guarantees the isolation between the aluminium of the pipe and the brass of the insert preventing stress-corrosion that could damage the system (tube and fitting) . The interchangeability of the system is guarantee by the insert mobile,which allows you to use the same connection with different sizes of pipe.

ASSEMBLING INSTRUCTIONS

In order to achieve a perfect connection and according to the kind of pipe fitting which will be used, it is necessary to follow the simple and basic procedures indicated below:

1. First, cut the tube at the desired length by using a pipe-cutter or the special shears,making sure that the cut is perpendicular to the pipe axis.

2. Then, trim and calibrate the tube by using the tool. Insert the gauge into the pipe,then ultimately tum it in a clockwise and in a counter-clockwise direction;

3. In case of compression mechanical pipe fittings,above all in case of adapters insert the following pipe fitting component into the tube:pipe-tightening nut-ring;

4. Fitting of pipe into the fitting until it totally beats against a insulating ring;

5. Tighten the nut on the body as much as possible by hand then using a wrench screw the nut,according to the number of tums mentioned in the table.
