Check For Leaks After Install Valve

With the valve securely in place, it's time to check for leaks. Turn the main water supply back on slowly and observe the area around the newly installed valve. Open and close the valve several times to ensure it operates smoothly and that there are no leaks. If you notice any leaks, tighten the connections slightly until the leaks stop.
