How To Use The Welding Machine
Dec 04, 2023

1: Safety Precautions
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):Wear appropriate PPE, including safety goggles, gloves, and suitable clothing, to protect against heat and potential splashes.
Ventilation:Ensure good ventilation in the working area to disperse any fumes.
2: Prepare the PPR Pipes and Fittings
Cutting:Use a PPR pipe cutter to make clean, square cuts on the pipes. Ensure the ends are smooth and free of burrs.
Deburring:Use a deburring tool to remove any sharp edges or burrs from the cut ends.
3: Set Up the PPR Hot Fusion Welder
Temperature Settings:Adjust the temperature settings on the fusion welder according to the PPR pipe and fitting specifications. Refer to the equipment manual for recommended temperatures.
Preheating:Allow the fusion welder to preheat to the desired temperature. This ensures proper fusion during the welding process.
4: Marking and Alignment
Marking:Use a pencil or marker to mark the point on both the pipe and fitting where the fusion will occur.
Alignment:Ensure proper alignment of the pipe and fitting. The marks should align precisely.
5: Fusion Welding Process
Insertion:Insert the heated fusion welding tool into the pipe and fitting simultaneously. Hold them in position until the fusion process is complete.
Heating Time:Follow the recommended heating time based on the pipe and fitting size. This information is typically provided in the equipment manual.
6: Welding Inspection
Visual Check:After completing the fusion process, visually inspect the weld to ensure it is uniform and free of any irregularities.
Cooling Time:Allow sufficient time for the welded joint to cool and solidify before handling.
7: Quality Assurance
Leak Testing:Perform a leak test on the welded joint to ensure there are no water or gas leaks. This is crucial for plumbing applications.
Visual Inspection:Inspect the entire welded area to confirm the fusion is sound and there are no defects.
8: Clean-Up
Equipment Maintenance:Clean the fusion welder and any accessories used in the process. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for maintenance.
Dispose of Scraps:Properly dispose of any PPR pipe scraps or waste material.
