Pre-Test Preparation Requirements
All newly installed PPR systems must undergo:
24-hour curing period after final joint fusion
Visual inspection of all connections
Complete filling and air bleeding
Temporary support installation for test pressure conditions Documentation should include pipe specifications, fusion parameters, and system diagrams.
Test Medium Selection Criteria
Acceptable test fluids:
Clean water (preferred, temperature 5-45°C)
Compressed air (limited to 1.5× working pressure) Special cases:
Glycol mixtures for frost protection systems
Inhibited water for heating systems Contamination standards: <5mg/L suspended solids, pH 6.5-8.5.
Pressure Grading Procedures
Standard test sequence:
Initial pressurization to 50% test pressure
15-minute stabilization period
Gradual increase to full test pressure
Minimum 1-hour observation period Pressure increments shouldn't exceed 0.5 bar/second.

Test Pressure Parameters
Standard requirements:
Cold water systems: 1.5× working pressure
Hot water systems: 2.0× working pressure (at 20°C) Minimum test values:
PN10: 1.5MPa
PN16: 2.4MPa
PN20: 3.0MPa Test duration: 2 hours minimum for systems <100m.
Leak Detection Methods
Comprehensive evaluation techniques:
Visual inspection (mirrors for concealed pipes)
Pressure drop measurement (±0.05 bar tolerance)
Thermal imaging for micro-leaks
Ultrasonic detection for compressed air tests Acceptance criteria: <1% pressure loss in 30 minutes.

Mandatory precautions:
Pressure relief valves set at 110% test pressure
Exclusion zones during testing
Progressive pressurization alarms
