The PEX pipeline system was developed around 1960 and is accepted by major pipeline construction in countries around the world.
The standard way to install PEX pipe is to attach it with barbed fittings and special metal crimp rings that are secured with a crimp tool. After the ring is crimped into place, the installer checks with an inspection tool to confirm the diameter specification of the crimp ring.
